Follow Your Lead Stock Necklaces

Stock necklaces are designs that incorporate mostly stones and beads that are readily available, so that I can make these necklaces again and again. While the exact stones and placement may vary somewhat between sizes, the finished product will be similar in appearance to the designs shown here. Workmanship and quality is the same as with our couture selections, although the designs may not be as intricate. I will restring any necklace selling for over $20 at no charge other than shipping (less than $2.00). Stock necklaces are listed in alphabetical order.

Bimini Shoals

Bimini Shoals is a cute, youthful design from the Endless Summer series. A fine stringer of blue glass fish swim amongst sea garden-colored millefiore beads. This necklace is strung on strong jellycord, and looks great against mostly white or grey or silver colors. This is a necklace for smaller dogs with short hair or shaved necks, and can be comfortably worn for hours, as our puppy model Bomber will attest.

Blue Moon

Blue Moon is one of the blingier designs in our stock collection. With a sparkling blue art glass pendant and beautiful pearlescent blue beads and sky blue faceted crystals, and silver accents, it sparkles from any angle. This was one of the first designs we offered. Blue Moon is strung on 30lb test monofilament, with a silver lobster clasp.

Bunny Crazy

Bunny Crazy combines three elements we've found to look well on the widest variety of dogs--turquoise-colored beads, rose quartz and silver, all centered around a cute bunny charm. Dogs are crazy about bunnies, and you'll be crazy about how cute your dog looks in this necklace. Bunny crazy is strung on jeweler's wire with a silver clasp.

Crush

Crush is from the Endless Summer series and is definitely our biggest hit so far with the boys. It's a dude necklace for sure. Jade sea turtles (actual turtle may vary), bone, seed pod, copper, and other beads typical of the fun, youthful designs favored by surfer dudes everywhere to show off their tans and catch the eye of the surfer girls. Crush is usually strung on jellycord, but can be strung on monofilament with a copper barrel clasp.

Germanicus

Germanicus is a tough necklace for tough dogs from the Empire series of couture. Strung on very strong memory wire with big glass and shimmering golden and black art glass rectangular focal beads. The palette is green, black, gold, and brass with a few small Swarovski crystals for sparkle and a gold toggle clasp. This necklace looks great on the boys and really stands up to wear.

Heartlight

What do you do with a necklace heavy on the natural stones, but too blingy for the Florissant Collection? Well, make it a stock favorite! Photos don't do this necklace justice because of the amount of glow and sparkle to it. Alternating dalmation jasper, golden freshwater pearl, and golden-toned mother of pearl chips bring shine to the entire necklace, and a black art glass heart with a glittering golden pattern within the glass completes the look. Heartlight is strung on 40lb test mono with a golden toggle clasp. This necklace looks well on a wide variety of colors and is intersex.

Kalahari

Kalahari was designed specifically for the big African breeds, but may look well on others. A huge rough-faceted and polished bronzeite pendant is suspended from a necklace formed of big black and red earth toned beads, with clear amber tortoises. The beads used in this necklace are large and generous and to make sure it stands up to bigger dog wear, we string it on 40-lb test mono and use a copper lobster claw clasp to fasten it.

Karnak

A faceted Tiger Eye pendant is surrounded by wooden, warm deep red and amber-tone glass beads, and our signature amber glass tortoises, which are a feature of most of our male-oriented designs. This design looks great on brindle, red, and dark fawn and golden coat colors and is very masculine. If you like Kalahari but have a smaller dog, the Karnak is the necklace for you. Karnak is strung on monofilament with a discrete golden barrel clasp.

Ladybugs

Ladybugs is a deceptively simple "fun" design for the little dogs, that nonetheless has quality beads. Nothing plastic about this necklace, strung as it is as a continuous strand of dalmation jasper, black glass beads, silver-toned beads, and a repeating pattern of czech glass ladybug beads. Strung on strong black jellycord for stretchy ease.

Los Pinos

Los Pinos is a unique, Western-themed design based around copper, wood, and rhodalite. Rhodalite is reputed to promote feelings of confidence and well-being, and of course, copper is very good for pain, so this design from the Florissant collection is not only stylish, but may be theraputic! Nobody else is making this kind of design for dogs. It is not blingy, but is very fashion-forward.

Malachite

The Malachite design is simple, but stands on its own with plenty of reflective glass spacer and faceted beads and golden accents connecting beautiful polished Malachite rectangles. Although the design is simple, Malachite is not inexpensive, so this is a necklace for the indulgent owner.

Margaritaville

It's 5 o'clock somewhere whenever you put this glittering, blingy tropical necklace from the Endless Summer series on your dog. A fun rhinestone-encrusted palm tree is surrounded by mint green oval seed pearls, and a lot of pink and white crystal, including a generous scattering of pink and green Swarovski crystal elements. This is one of my "half double strand" designs and is strung on a combination of jewelers wire and clear monofilament.

Princess P

Princess P was one of my first designs and has turned out to be one of the most popular. It was inspired by the delicate pale golden fawn beauty of my own "Princess P". A puffy, rhinestone-encrusted silver heart dangles from a pretty string of pearlescent white, magnetic hematite, frosted glass, and pink faceted crystal beads. The ultimate in femininity and simplicity for your special girl. Because the pendant is not big, we only make this design up to 14". It is strung on 40lb test mono with a cute silver bone/toggle clasp.

Shopaholic

One of FYL's original designs, this is a true girly-girl piece with a rhinestone purse with lots of pink. The necklace itself is pure bling with a repeating pattern of pink faceted clear beads, and peacock-iridescent magenta-toned faceted smaller crystals.

Sonoma and Silverton

Sonoma and Silverton necklaces have been among our most popular, and while they are done in similar styles, they are not identical. The Silverton pattern is strictly turquoise beads (mostly synthetic, but with a few natural stones included) and big, silver, southwestern-style spacer beads. This is a pattern that looks great on male dogs and has plenty of color and shine, but nothing too feminine. The Sonoma designs are heavy on the turquoise and silver, but also includes a selected smattering of rose quartz chips, mother-of-pearl squares, Snowflake obsidian, and for the larger sized ones, a tube of wood-toned Jasper, depending on the size and sex of dog for which I am making it. Smaller sizes are strung on 30'lb test monofilament and larger sizes with jewelers coated wire--all with silver lobster claw clasps. Both these necklaces are from our Florissant Collection and invite your dog to "Go West"!

Team Spirit

Team Spirit fun jellycord necklaces are a great addition to your purchase of a team-logo coat or collar from Follow Your Lead. Shown is Bomber who is a UNC Tar Heels fan, and Maura, who has jumped on the New Orleans Saints bandwagon for the Super Bowl, but we can assemble a series of beads in any team colors and add letter beads to spell out the phrase of your choice. So, whether it's "Go Tigers" or "The Ohio State" or or "Cowboys Suck!" or "Celtics Fan 4 Life", we can do it, up to 24 letters. We use cheaper beads for these, to keep the cost low, unless you pull for one of those teams with ugly colors it should be pretty as well as fan-spirited. Provide your pro or college team and preferred phrase in an e-mail when ordering., or if ordering for a high school, I need a link to the team colors, as well.

Larger sizes would require larger beads to look and would be considered commissioned work, but I am happy to discuss it with you if a Team Spirit necklace is desired for your larger dog.

Urban Safari Collection

Urban Safari are the most contemporary couture designs that I do for dogs, with some of the most interesting glass beads. I have obtained a quantity of murano-style glass hearts in a variety of animal print designs to build my urban safari necklaces from. These are great companion pieces to the animal print velboa coats available from FYL, but also look fabulous all on their own. The animal prints that I currently have available are Tiger Stripe, Leopard, White Zebra, Black Zebra, and Garnet Zebra. Each necklace contains a generous amount of high quality furnace glass, plus a lot of glass and lampwork beads, bone elements, snowflake obsidian (for the zebra designs), and foil-lined and artglass beads to match. These are real show stoppers and there is nothing like them being made for dogs available anywhere on the 'net. I string them on strong monofilament with silver or gold toggle clasps. Each necklace is unique, although all are similar in style to those choices shown here. They hold up very beautifully if properly fitted. Please specify Urban Safari Tiger, Leopard, White Zebra, Black Zebra, or Garnet Zebra when ordering.
